Accessibility Policy

  • Accessibility Policy

We are committed to making our festival as inclusive and accessible as possible. We welcome guests with disabilities and long-term health conditions and aim to provide a safe, enjoyable experience for everyone. This policy outlines the support we offer, how to access it, and the limitations we must operate within.

1. Our Commitment

We will:

  • Treat all accessibility requests with dignity, fairness, and respect
  • Provide clear information before and during the event
  • Offer reasonable adjustments where possible within the constraints of a live festival environment
  • Train staff and volunteers to support accessibility needs

2. Applying for Accessibility Support

To access our accessibility provisions, guests are required to apply in advance via our accessibility application process. We strongly encourage the use of an Access Card (or equivalent recognised documentation), as it helps us:

  • Understand your specific requirements
  • Process requests more efficiently
  • Ensure fair and consistent allocation of resources

Where an Access Card is not available, alternative evidence or direct communication with our accessibility team may be accepted.

3. Available Accessibility Provisions

Subject to availability and approval, we may provide:

  • Accessible viewing areas at selected stages
  • Accessible toilets and facilities
  • Step-free access routes where reasonably achievable
  • A limited number of accessible parking spaces (where applicable)
  • Essential Companion (Carer) tickets for eligible guests
  • Assistance from trained staff or stewards

Please note that not all areas of the festival site may be fully accessible due to terrain or temporary infrastructure.

4. Essential Companion (Carer) Tickets

Guests who require essential assistance may be eligible for a complimentary companion ticket.

  • Eligibility is typically based on an Access Card with a +1 symbol (or equivalent)
  • Companion tickets are issued to support a paying guest
  • The Access Card holder must have a valid ticket
  • Companion tickets are limited and subject to availability

5. Our Limitations

While we strive to be as accessible as possible, festivals present unique challenges. By attending, you acknowledge the following limitations:

  • Terrain & Environment: Festival sites may include uneven ground, grass, mud, slopes, and temporary flooring which can be difficult to navigate
  • Weather Conditions: Adverse weather may impact accessibility despite mitigation efforts
  • Crowds & Noise: High crowd density, loud music, and lighting effects (including strobes) are inherent to live events
  • Temporary Infrastructure: As a temporary event, not all structures and routes can meet permanent accessibility standards
  • Capacity Limits: Accessible areas, parking, and facilities have finite capacity and may reach safe limits
  • Third-Party Venues/Partners: Some elements of the festival may be operated by partners whose accessibility provisions may vary

6. What We Ask of Guests

To help us support you effectively, we ask that you:

  • Apply for accessibility support in advance wherever possible
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information about your requirements
  • Bring any essential personal equipment or medication
  • Follow guidance from staff, particularly in busy or emergency situations

7. Onsite Support

Our accessibility team will be available during the festival to assist with queries or issues. However, we may not be able to accommodate new or complex requests that were not raised in advance.

8. Continuous Improvement

We are committed to improving accessibility year-on-year. Feedback from our guests is invaluable in helping us identify areas for improvement.

9. Contact Us

If you have questions, require assistance, or would like to discuss your needs, please contact our accessibility team in advance of the event.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to create an inclusive festival experience within the practical limitations of a live event environment.
